isthisnumberascam.com is run by Who Can It Be, LLC, the company behind PhoneShield. By using it you agree to these terms.
Information only
The site shows reports about phone numbers: complaints people filed with the FTC’s Do Not Call program, as the FTC publishes them, calls PhoneShield’s automated front desk refused as scams, and reports from visitors to this site. The FTC does not verify complaints, and neither do we. Reports can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and caller ID can be faked, so a reported number may belong to someone who never made those calls. Nothing on the site says who owns or uses a number, and nothing on it is legal, financial or security advice.
Not for decisions about people
The site is not a consumer reporting agency and its pages are not consumer reports. Don’t use it to decide anything about a person’s credit, insurance, employment, housing or any other eligibility, and don’t use it to harass or contact anyone.
Fair use of the site
Read, link to and share any page. Please don’t copy the site in bulk, overload it with automated requests, or try to get around its limits.
Reporting a number
Report only calls and texts you received, as they happened. Leave personal details out of your note, yours or anyone else’s. By sending a report you let us count it and show it on the number’s page by category; notes are never published. We may hide reports that look false, automated or abusive, and we don’t verify the ones we keep.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness and fitness for a purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, Who Can It Be, LLC is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the site or from relying on it.
Corrections
If a page is about your number, use “This is my number” on that page (how it works) or write to help@isthisnumberascam.com. Requests are reviewed within two business days.

The site links to other sites, such as the FTC, the FCC and PhoneShield. We aren’t responsible for their content.
